Club Tennis
At Badshot Lea Tennis Club everyone is welcome to come and play tennis, whether your a member or interested in becoming a member, we are always happy for anyone to come along to one of our regular club sessions, coaching sessions or you could even book our public court and hit some balls with your friends and family.
Details of our club sessions are listed below, but please contact us to make sure the club session is taking place that week, especially in the winter months.
Visitors & Hire of our Public Court
Members may bring friends to play at the club. The name of the visitor and the host member shall be entered in the attendance record at the time of playing and a fee of £4.00 per visitor shall be paid to the Club bank account by the club member bringing the visitor.
In agreement with Waverley BC the courts will be available for hire by non-members for pay and play. Application should be made to the chair, Gillian Hyman. The charge is £5.00 per hour for adults and £2.50 for juniors, with no floodlights.
During the darker evenings the courts may be hired with the use of the floodlights. The charge is £15 per hour.
BLTC Club Tournament 2024
A traditional tournament was run for the club members with the finals played on Sunday 8th September 2024, 12:00 – 16:00.
Meetings
Club’s next committee meeting is Wednesday 20th November.
Team Tennis
The club have entered teams into the Winter ADLTA League. 2 mens, 2 mixed and 1 ladies team.
For those that like some competitive tennis, the Club welcome you to contact our Match Secretary Chanto for information or to be included in a team.
Coaching
Badshot Lea Tennis Club are pleased to appoint Matt Marlow as Head Coach. Matt is Level 5 Master Club Coach and has been delivering tennis sessions and running programmes at clubs since 2005.
More InfoClub Sessions
There are Club Sessions Thursday evenings from 6pm and Saturday mornings 10:00-12:30. Visitors are always welcome.
Floodlight Usage
Free use of floodlights is provided on Thursday Club evenings whenever necessary.
These social tennis sessions start at 6.00pm. It is planned that a member of the committee attends each Thursday to ensure floodlights are available. The floodlights are new to the club so please be patient with the Committee whilst the floodlight process and token issue is refined.
All other times, floodlights cost £3 for 30 minutes for members. They are only available until 9.00pm on club court and 8:30pm on public court, when they will turn off automatically.
